Oct. 19th, 2017 03:04 pm Из книги Kenneth H.Rowe (No Kum-sok, 노금석); J. Roger (1996) Osterholm . A MiG-15 to Freedom. McFarland & Company Inc. 1996:
At the time, my family and I were living in Kanggye, a northern city in North Korea, where I attended
middle school. I had read of the Soviet war with the Nazis, in which the Red Army had performed
heroically at a great cost, but I was skeptical of Soviet Communism. The first sight of many red-necked
Soviet infantry in filthy, loose-fitting tunics quickly confirmed me as an anti-Communist. They were
backward, illiterate, brutal, unsanitary, savage peasants, derelicts from a remote part of a Soviet stone age,
whom Russia obviously would rather be without. They had no sense of human dignity. These Russians
brutalized Kanggye just like every village and city they entered. They robbed stores openly, raped women,
and drank anything containing alcohol. I watched as a Russian soldier drank anti-freeze alcohol and
vomited. Other drunken soldiers raped women in front of their families, making Koreans apprehensive
about the nature of Communism.
